Lasted *90,000 miles on the Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires. I !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! about a year ago before the WK2 hit 100,000 miles. Total runtime was 42,734 miles (November 17, 2015) to 131,941 miles (February 9, 2018).

* 89,207 miles...but there was over 800 left in the bank.

Kinja'd!!!

I just bought the same tires since I may end up taking the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee over 200,000 miles before 2021. It’s been disgustingly trouble free.

Tires, install, warranty, and disposal, were $1,095.40. If I can get these tires to 109,540 miles (that would be 241,481 miles on the WK2), then the tires will cost me a penny a mile. We’ll see how it goes since a single nail throws off everything.

I think this update was back around 55,000 miles on the tires.

Here’s the update after 38,000 miles on the tires.

Oh lawd I missed how smooth, quiet, and comfortable these tires are when new!! Mmmm...

That’s impressive. We’ve got some variety of Michelin Defenders on my wife’s X3, she’s got 40k on them and definitely doesn’t have another 50k to go. Can’t say for sure which exact model though.

I forget the exact tire, but the VW came with Michelin somethings and they lasted over 80K miles. I even picked up a small nail along the way so one of the tires leaked a few extra psi a month. I just threw that on the back and drove another year or two. I’m on a pair of LRR Pirellis now. I hope they last a long time too. I will definitely be back to Michelin in the future. I have the Pilot sports on the 348 but will probably go to the cups when those are date coded.

god damn that’s good!

What motor do you have in the GC? They’re on the list to replace the Commander if we chose to do so.

These tires are supremely underrated. Had them on my first Cherokee before I lifted it.

A set of these came on my 2017 F-150, and I have been very pleased by them. At 17k, they still are nearly at full tread depth. So far I’ve just been rotating them at oil changes around every 5k or so. They are a supremely good tire for a 2wd 1/2 ton that primarily serves as a highway commuter.

In slightly unrelated topic, I absolutely love how (any) new tires look. I have no idea how to explain it... but clean and rubbery and thready.

Are the lifter issues I see about online a real concern?

That’s crazy! Doesn’t look like the Latitudes on my MDX are going to even last 30k miles.

I have ticking when the engine is cold but it’s never been a concern or bother. I’m not sure if that is the lifter issue youre referring to.

Ugh. I have these on my GX 470 and I need them to hurry up and wear out so I can get some all-terrain tires while I still don’t have to pay for them.
